L'Oreal vs M.A.C on YouTube by Isha Sharma

L’Oreal posts about 2-3 videos a week. The videos are about 55 seconds to 2 minutes long on average. Mainly, L’Oreal posts about commercials or tutorials on either makeup or hair. There are some celebrity endorsements content such as Frieda Pinto who is a spokesperson for L’Oreal. In the description, I noticed key words such as flawless to emphasize the importance of the makeup or products of L’Oreal. There are links to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram in the description box.

This YouTube video had the most views as the most recent successful video. The video had 4 likes, 2 dislikes and no comments. I think this video was successful because the Red Carpet is where everyone wants to know what celebrity is wearing what or what makeup they have on for inspiration.

M.A.C posts about 2-3 videos a week and sometimes they go 2 week’s without posting any other videos. M.A.C mainly has videos on eye shadows looks more specifically. There was no links in the description that show any Facebook, Twitter or Instagram accounts.

This is the most recent successful video. It has over 1 million views. I think this video was successful because they have Ariana Grande who is a singer using M.A.C cosmetics. There are over 5,000 likes and 87 dislikes.
